My goal is to teach everyone how to play and truly enjoy piano. I also want to help guide your understanding and appreciation of music, while increasing your confidence.
I sincerely wish that I can help provide you with what music has done for me – provide a creative outlet through a beautiful instrument that may become your passion, talent, best friend, and enjoyable hobby.

MY STORY
Personalized. Comprehensive. Fun.
While growing up, I graduated at the top of my class with Honors as a Concert Pianist and Professor of Piano at the Conservatory of Music, in Russia. In addition, I composed many original classical pieces. But, I wasn’t always so serious! I also was a keyboardist and band leader of a rock-n-roll band with my fellow Conservatory classmates. We were greatly influenced by the rock-n-roll legends of the sixties and eighties. Thus, I have a very wide variety of styles that I love teaching and playing!
After graduating from the Conservatory, my family and I immigrated to the great United States of America where I continued to play piano and keyboard at weddings, restaurants, lounges, birthdays, Temples, Churches, and many holiday parties and special events.
I have been living, teaching and performing in the Bay Area for over 30 years, while playing in large orchestras, as well as small bands.
In America, I raised two beautiful children who are all grown up now. Both of them were classically trained and Certified in piano by the London’s Royal School of Music. Piano also helped guide them toward other musical and artistic pursuits which included: playing guitar, singing, acting, drawing, painting, web designing, and many other talents.

My methods are simple: Focus, Excitement, Enthusiasm, and Patience. These are constant variables that dictate my teaching, while all that is asked from you is: Dedication, Excitement, Enthusiasm and most importantly, Practice.

My name is Roman. I am a classically trained pianist and wish to share my experience, talent and learning methods to bring about the talent and magic of the harmony and soul of piano to you. With my guidance and your dedication we will make it happen. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or expert, young or old, with your cooperation and my 40 years of experience, you will learn to appreciate melodic harmonies as a listener and embrace the inner beauty of playing the classics, pop, blues and many other styles of various artists, great composers, and maybe even your very own piece one day.
